Christmas Gifts Children Ask For -- Letters To Santa

Our local paper always publishes "Letters To Santa" from local kids of all ages.  There are always some delightful, sad and funny requests. Below are a few excerpts from their letters. You might be surprised to learn the Christmas gifts children really ask Santa for!

Dear Santa:......We have good parents, grandparents and great-grandparents.  They love us and we get lots of presents from them.  Please give presents to boys and girls who need them....

Dear Santa......Bring lots of presents for me and my family....p.s.  I was born after the flood in (my city) and have red hair.  You cannot miss me!

Dear Santa....Thank you for all the wonderful gifts you have given me....please give gifts to poor children.  give medicine to poor people and children.  Help them feel better and not go hungry...I would like to have a board game so my family does not get bored...

Dear Santa...I want to thank you for all the gifts you give me every year.  they are so much fun to play with.  thanks for everything you do.  I was wondering if you could give food and clothes to who have none.  Maybe even help people H1N1.  Maybe you can make them well....

Dear Santa...Thanks for the.....(toy) last year.  I always wanted it but it was expensive.  So thanks for that toy I really wanted.  You are the best!  Santa rocks!  I would like if you could stop wars and stop slavery.  I want the soldiers to come back to their houses to live there for the rest of their lives...

Dear Santa....Thank you for my mp3 player...Santa I do not know if you can find a cure for cancer.  Over the summer it was a sad summer.  My grandma got sick with it over the summer.  It was sad.

Dear Santa...Thank you so much for all the stuff you got me these years....I was wondering if you could help other people.  Like my grandpa.  He needs help with bending and reaching stuff like that.  Can you fix that so he can?  That would be awesome if you could Santa...

Dear Santa....If someone is naughty can you at least give them a toy car.  I said this becuase they will not like it if you give him/her coal.  Please?....

Dear Santa.....Santa, what have you been doing?  did you like the cookies and cheese we left you last year?  My Gram says you like cheese and it must be true because it was all gone!  I hope you shared with Rudolph and the other deers....I like when you wrap my presents in cartoon paper too, or maybe elves do that.  anyway Santa, i've been a good girl and I kept my room clean for six whole days...

Dear Santa...I would like for you to bring me the new Jedi Light Saber and a lap top computer for my Mom and Dad.  I will be moving to Michigan, so please drop my presents off there.. I love you Santa!

Dear Santa...I would like for you to bring me a bike because my bike is broken.  I love you, Santa.  My brother has been bad, but please bring him some cars...

Dear Santa...I would like to have a house for my mom and my family...this is all I want for Christmas.

Dear Santa...Please respond to these questions.  What kind of cookies do you want?  What kind of milk do you want?  Can you give me any books if you can please?  Do you want raindeer food, too?
